OPTION A

Sister Anne Amati

enfolded in radiant mystery

Sisters Conference Retreat at St. Francis Center for Renewal | July 17-23, 2022
Featuring Sister Anne Amati, OSF

Through prayer, input, ritual, art, and music, this retreat for Catholic Sisters will invite us more deeply into the Holy Mystery of God through a consideration of the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary. St. Bonaventure’s classic work The Tree of Life will provide a particular lens for our reflection. These mysteries, as you know, were created by Pope John Paul II to complete the whole of Jesus’ life from Incarnation through his public life to Resurrection. We will consider the following mysteries: the Baptism of Jesus, the Wedding Feast at Cana, the Proclamation of the Reign of God, the Transfiguration, and the Institution of the Eucharist. You may find it helpful to bring your own Bible to pray with each mystery, as well as a notebook to journal your thoughts.

Attend in person or online via Zoom

option b

Father Steven McMichael

Sister Nancy Celaschi

virtual pilgrimage to assisi | PITTSBURGH

Sisters Retreat at Mt. Assisi Place | July 24-29, 2022
Featuring Sister Nancy Celaschi & Father Steven McMichael, OFM Cap

Father Steve and Sister Nancy will take you on a “virtual pilgrimage” to Franciscan places where we can reflect together on the places that shaped the life of Francis and Clare — and our own Franciscan call — without all the hassles of travel, inclement weather or crowds. Together we will visit the commune of Assisi to learn what life was like for the Bernardone and Offreduccio families, the Cathedral of San Rufino, the Church of San Damiano, the leprosaria on the plain, the Porziuncola, and the Shrine of Francis' Renunciation, Rivotorto, where the fraternity grew. We could never forget Greccio and La Verna, the parentheses that hold the whole of Franciscan incarnational spirituality together. Those who have been to these places more than once know that they speak to you in different ways at different times in your life. And what a way to immerse ourselves in the special jubilee called for by Pope Francis and the Franciscan Family as we celebrate 800 years of Greccio (2023), the Stigmata (2024), the Special Holy Year (2025) and the 800th anniversary of Francis’ Transitus (2026).
