GET MOVING WITH THE SISTERS AT MONOCACY MANOR

Villa Clare at Monocacy Manor receives an injection of energy three times each week as aide Marge Roncoloato leads our Sisters in a 30-minute exercise class aimed at both fitness and fun on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. She uses creative props and games so that those participating forget they’re actually exercising. Sometimes things get downright competitive, as Sisters keep track of good shots on a fun beanbag toss game or count how many taps of a balloon they can keep going without missing. “It’s feels so good to stretch out,” says an enthusiastic Sister Ann Marie Yenca, waving her arms in the air as she makes her way to the Villa Clare corridor where class is about to begin. “Let’s go!” With the photos below, you’ll feel like you’re right in on the action with her and Sisters Francine Garganta, Marguerite Stewart and Irene Novak.
