Sister Marie Therese Sherwood will facilitate the book study.
Sue Monk Kidd is the author of several works, including “When the Heart Waits.”
“Waiting provides the time and space necessary for grace to happen.” These are the words of author Sue Monk Kidd and the premise of her spiritual work When the Heart Waits: Spiritual Direction for Life’s Sacred Questions. The book will be the subject of a six-week study series this fall hosted by the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Sister Marie Therese Sherwood will lead us as we explore “the vibrant, contemplative work of descending into self, into God, and into the deeper labyrinth of prayer.” The group will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, September 16, through October 21, in the second-floor conference room of St. Francis Center at Monocacy Manor. Study sessions are set for:
Wednesday, September 16, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, September 23, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Wednesday, October 14, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
